Topic of the week: Best Investment During Times of Inflation
What one investment would you recommend in context of today’s high inflation? Warren Buffett answers the "What." Charles Duhigg answers the "How."
During the 2022 Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting last weekend, a young investor asked Mr. Warren Buffett, "What one investment would you recommend in context of today's high inflation?" Instead of giving a stock pick, Mr. Buffet’s answer expounded the value of self-mastery, the ultimate stoic virtue. His answer was timeless wisdom: Develop an exceptional skill. That is the bet hedge to inflation.
Mr. Buffett's response was one of many nuggets of wisdom during the six-hour public Q&A session. But, he provided half the answer. If the young investor were permitted a follow-up question, she might have asked, "How can I develop my chosen skill into an exceptional one?"
Mr. Charles Duhigg, Pullitzer-price winning author and reporter for The New York Times and The New Yorker, answered the "How." Read the full article to discover the "How."
